Process Stages
CIVAS is a full-cycle company specializing in the production of women’s coats and outerwear; however, clients can also make use of only certain services or departments, according to their specific needs.
Pattern Design and Garment Engineering
Every model created by CIVAS originates from sketches provided by the client and/or fashion designers.
Thanks to the talent, technical expertise, and know-how of our team, CIVAS is always able to find the ideal combination between the client’s or designer’s creative vision and the most efficient production processes and technical solutions. Client ideas are developed both manually and using the most advanced CAD software.
The CAD department maintains constant contact with clients and oversees every stage of prototype development, ensuring adherence to production timelines.
It also handles the initiation of production, providing all information related to fabrics, garment accessories, technical sheets, and cost data. The CAD department manages fabric layout planning and prepares all technical documentation necessary for the cutting process.
At the same time, the warehouse prepares fabrics for cutting and supplies the trims and accessories needed for the assembly phase.
CIVAS also has a CAM department equipped with automatic cutting machines, supported by a manual cutting station dedicated to specific requests or special operations.
Samples and Prototypes
After the CAD-CAM cutting processes, CIVAS produces the first prototype in its own laboratory.
All prototypes are inspected to identify any defects and are then presented to the client for fitting, final checks, and approval.
The final prototypes, incorporating all client-requested modifications, serve as the basis for creating samples for full-scale production, managed in a dedicated area. Even at this stage, CIVAS supports clients in selecting fabrics, thanks to its highly qualified staff.
Subsequently, CIVAS manages production orders for final distribution.
Production and Supply Chain
At the client’s request, prior to the launch of a collection, CIVAS can produce a pre-production garment for a final product check.
The Product & Production department oversees all stages of production, paying the utmost attention to the quality of each garment and adherence to delivery schedules.
Every stage of production and all CIVAS suppliers are subject to a continuous process of monitoring and certification, in compliance with the SA8000 standard.
The company also manages an extensive production network. The entire garment assembly process is coordinated by CIVAS in close collaboration with its external workshops, which are selected through rigorous monitoring and certification procedures.
As key players in the supply chain, production partners are required to comply with the company’s guidelines regarding management and social responsibility.
This policy has allowed CIVAS to build over time a strong and trust-based relationship with its partners. The stability of these collaborations is such that the company requires, from the outset, the signing of a letter of intent and shared values.
Quality Control
The final stages of quality control are among the most important and delicate; therefore, they receive the utmost attention.
CIVAS has its own internal Quality Department, which meticulously inspects every detail in accordance with client specifications and international standards.
The CIVAS Quality Department generally works in collaboration with the client’s quality team prior to final deliveries, which are managed globally by the CIVAS Logistics Department.
Logistics
After the final quality control stages, carefully carried out by the CIVAS Quality Department and, where applicable, in coordination with the client’s quality team, prototypes, collections, and finished garments are ready to be presented, distributed, or delivered to clients worldwide.
Shipments are managed directly by the CIVAS Logistics Department, in full compliance with client specifications and international customs standards.
Upon request, CIVAS can also organize “one-to-one” deliveries to individual destinations, thanks to an extensive network of European carriers and partnerships with leading international courier services.
